Day 15: To my brothers and sister!

I know brothers are the most annoying people a sister can ever have and I grew up surrounded by six brothers and a sister, each with their unique traits of annoyance.  Today I feel like documenting bits of my experiences with each one of them. They, each and everyone, has an irreplaceable place in my heart. As I stay miles away from all of them now, I realize how my life was colored uniquely by each one of them. I have little in my hands to relive those memories now but, to write.

First, the ELDEST, the most stubborn of us all but also the most intelligent 🤓 and practical. One could never convince him to agree otherwise unless we had a really ( i mean REALLY REALLY) good argument, else he is right or he is right! How annoying is that? We, me and my sisters, also had a particular song allocated just for the moment he acted like he is. But needless to say, he is a man of good heart, always dropped me off at college in his ‘Rajdoot’ when everyone else owned a ‘Pulsar’😋😋.

Second, the second eldest, the HANDSOME, the dashing, well that is what he calls himself 😜, is the smartest and the emotional of us all. While he is a player, he is yet to find ‘The ONE’. Millions of attempt by us and our family members have failed to find him a perfect bride but nevertheless, he is a perfect brother although the most notorious one. ‘The Bachelor Party 🎉 Planner’ and a ‘Successful Entrepreneur’, quite a combo.

Third, the ‘K’, the one with the chiseled face or whatever he wants is the light-hearted of us all. Anger is the last thing that comes to him and a serial social account hacker among us cousins. He never ceases to surprise us with his laziness, though, for instances his remark after Kushal, me and him saw a mouse 🐭 run in our living room. We all were there watching tv and after few moments of seeing the mouse run, he says ‘ Kushal… jaa pakdi..’ (Kushal.. go catch the mouse).. Who says that??? Kushal and I died laughing 😂 that time.

Fourth, is the one with the ‘silk carpet hair’, ‘pindae’ is the most responsible and the eligible bachelor in our group. This London grad, is the most sincere of us all, so sincere to his work that sometimes it even becomes difficult to catch a glimpse of him for months and we call and ask if he has gone back to London. He has the sharpest skills in speaking newari from ‘la kutun wala (raining)’ to ‘taba malai euta ramri kt khojdinu na hau’ (he never means it).

Fifth, is ‘the BAJEY’, the most matured of us all, the one with the finest family skills. Always present in family gatherings (when he is in Nepal), he is a people’s charmer. Ever ready to drop or pick anyone, anywhere, he is the most dependable brother among all. Always full of advice even when you need it the least 😜, but supportive as hell.

Sixth, my sister anu tata, the top scorer, academic acer and smart but the moodiest of all. We cousins especially sisters often share statutory warning ⚠️ when she is in a mad mood. 😜 So as to avoid her ‘Bichooo Bite’. Nonetheless, I haven’t seen an open heart like hers. She can pamper you and give you the best gifts. Her sense of humour is too good to be true. You can never be sad around her unless she is in her ‘touch me not’ zone. Her mimicry skills are amazing from ‘shwaar’ (sir) to the most typical and popular Nepali hero dance step. Oh..and of course her terrific skills to recreate horror scenes from movies at home to scare our little sister (tisha). Tisha had nightmares because of her and she still has!

Lastly, the ‘chi chi’, the cutest (no longer, though), the chindae, used to be the healthiest of us all. He is the most gifted because can rap eminem songs like no one else in this world 😝. Charming and irritating at the same time, he is the next entrepreneur-to-be in our family ;). He has a great sense of smell and can avail himself where ever the good food cooks, without NOTICE. Lucky dude!

We grew up together, we ate, slept and pooped in the same place. I still remember our carom board sessions, the ‘center ka raja’ and ‘jhuks ki raani’ songs, we used to sing 🎶 together. The ‘Allooo chiura’ we used to eat in seating room, from the biggest bowl we could find in the kitchen, placing it right in the middle, of course above the newspaper so we didn’t  ruin the carpet by spilling the ‘jhol’.

We are because of our childhood we spent together, each and every memory as precious as every minute passing by. I reminisce my marriage, and no one could be as lucky as me to have a family this ‘wonderful’ and ‘J’.  Thank you for being the weirdest kind of you!

P.S: Tisha, Shravak, Ahingsa and Priya… do not grin, I will dedicate a special edition blog for you guys too soon! So don’t bite me now 😋.
